Well, the time has come! It’s the 25th Anniversary of the Texas Rural Chief Appraisers! My, how it’s grown! Conference is slated for October 28, 29 & 30, 2018 at our new San Marcus location. Please watch for more information in the coming months!
Dear Friends and TRCA Family,
Though the major anniversary mark is exciting, it does mark an end as well. Ronnie and Betty Ann Morris have decided it is the right time to make this their last “official” conference. I know you join with the board in hoping they stop in and visit from time to time and we wish them all the best! They have helped bring the organization from an idea to the conference we know and love today!
So, as the board must consider a new path, the audit committee was instructed to advertise and gather resumes from interested persons to try and carry on the country roots that have been established; for learning and growing and dependability on one another.
The Steering Committee is seeking interested and qualified persons for the position of Executive Director. Applicants must be highly organized, self-motivated and diligent with details. It is important to work well with people, understand social media and maintain the TRCAi website. Additionally, applicants must be able to maintain current membership records and manage mailings. The position requires travel for board meetings and representation of TRCA at other gatherings.
Some details of the position will require: Conference Venue negotiations-
Coordinate events, meals and speakers under the direction of the Steering Committee-
Secure sponsorships and build relationships-
Assist Steering Committee & Conference Committee- Maintain responsible financial records and accountability- Work with TDLR to ensure proper credit, timely.
Further, this is NOT considered a full-time position, nor will an office be provided.
